Can't tell if this is exactly the opposite of Mass Effect or exactly the same...
People repeatedly criticize stylized comic book characters for not looking perfectly realistic.
Nice to see it expands down her neck too and doesn't just stop at the chin. I remember being impressed with the Medal of Honor Allied Assault faces.
Looks kinda janky. You know on Garry's mod when you can make the ragdoll's faces really messed up and stuff? looks kinda like that.
You know what the problem is here? WAY TOO MUCH of that animation - I mean.. in movies this would be called overacting.
Devs can do this for a game designed to let us beat up Superman as The Flash or whatever, but meanwhile ME: A still looks like my character is a guy suffering from palsy who just got into a car accident.
Not sure if this is supposed to be good or not. Looks creepy.
They obviously put a lot of effort into it but it's definitely giving me an uncanny valley effect. They look like robots or aliens who are trying way too hard to emulate human emotion, which goes full circle and makes it seem really unnatural.
"Okay, team, let's make this game revolutionary. Let's put a mocap on them and move everything as much as possible."
Looks good at certain points but the girl on the left has a few moments where she looks like a horse trying to eat an apple through a letterbox. Straight nose dive into the uncanny valley.
