But she pulls the rebar out! And I was very impressed that they included the blood stains from that specific wound.

I was most impressed with the complete lack of sepsis after removing the rebar herself and then wading through a neck deep mix of cave water and blood for 15 minutes.

There were many times in that game where she waded through stagnant, bloody water or festering corpses. They should have put in a cutscene where she desperately searches the island for antibiotics before she succumbs to infection. Bloodborne pathogens ain't no joke.

Just got this game on sale. I haven't beaten it yet, but so far... She's gotten rebar jammed into her side, a gunshot wound, presumably several fairly serious burns from steam, several long drops where her back arcs in such a pleasant way upon impact, several blows to the head, taken enough falls on her ankles you'd think they'd fall off, is constantly wading tits deep in people soup, has been well within the flames of a few massive explosions, had a few gunshots go off in her ears, been in dozens of fist fights, busted face first through several blockades made of thick splintery wood and metal, has slid down rough and debris ridden slopes for several minutes, and has been there for a few days at best. And that's just cutscenes.

So, in spite of all of that, a fresh out of college girl has the strength and stamina to go through all that and kill hundreds of violent and aggressive men nearly twice her size who have been surviving in these conditions for years or even decades. Also she has an encyclopedic knowledge of MANY obscurities of several ancient cultures. Also she can magically sense childrens' toys through walls. And her hair defies gravity even though she's constantly upside down. And through all this, through all this... Her friends just constantly shit on her. Damn.

Sorry I can't make a judgement call unless I can see how practical her boots are.

Seriously, the new Tomb Raider games should just be called "Lara Croft gets beat to shit for a few hours."
