Game Trailer VS Actual Game
I'd love to see them do something completely out of the blue like an RPG or something. It'd be amazing to see what the studio is capable of doing and how varied they can be when producing something other than Forza.
If it didn't say open world, my gut would have said the next logical step would have been a sports game of some variety. That open world statement really throws some unknowns into the mix though, so here's hoping it's something fantastical.
Microsoft need to make these guys a first party studio. I've said for a while now Microsoft needs new ip and more first party studios. Letting Lionhead go was a massive step backwards, they had some awesome talent. Fable Legends graphically looked awesome it was just the direction the game was going that was off.
It'll most likely be an Xbox/W10 exclusive. Playground has a good thing going right now by having a good relationship with Microsoft and they'd be dumb as hell to sour it. Most likely it'll be another Microsoft owned IP with Playground as the developer.
