Steam Design change 2019 - What is new?

There were some rumors about Steam design changes for a long time. They finally came true. Steam design is going to change. Game library design had been changed before and innovations will continue.

What changes are we going to see on Steam design 2019?

Steam dominated the game library market for a long time. However, it has some strong opponents now. Some of them are Epic Store and GoogleStadia. First changes on Steam are more user-friendly. By the way, Steam doesn't want to change user habits. Therefore, Valve decided to keep game column as it was before.

By using the new Steam Design, gamers will be able to communicate much more easily. Friend list will be placed on the library screen. Online players will be able to see each other faster. Also, games that have been played by friends will be on the list. Game updates and update note will be displayed on that screen.

Tagging system will be added on Steam and you can find any game you want to play by searching them with tags. When you search a game category, you will see the games on that category on the result list.

Events zone will be added on Steam 2019 and you will be able to follow in-game events by following that zone. You will not miss any game events. Besides, you will need to react faster to compete.

There is no date to release for those changes. We might see them in 2019 one change at a time on different dates.
