Mic Working on Steam Voice Test But Not Working on CS:GO (Solved)

If you made all the settings you read over the internet but couldn't fix this issue. Does your microphone work everywhere including Steam Voice Test instead of CS:GO. You must be in the right place.

Before you start, just check those settings:

• Set voice_loopback 1 to hear your own voice in a CS:GO match. So, you can understand if it is working well or not. It can be a custom map.
• Disable all other devices in the Recording section and set your mic as default. You should see the green lines when you talk.
• Set voice_mixer_volume as 1 on CS:GO console.

If you can hear your voice perfectly on the Steam voice test but when you push the K button in-game, friends just hear an empty disturbing sound.

It is probably related to mic type (Mono or Stereo). My mic was monotype but it was not working on CS:GO. I setup Voicemeeter software which is free and made it the primary mic on my computer. After that select mono in the Hardware Input section. You can also make many other settings on that software.

Make sure that your mono button is activated. (For mono microphones)

Probably you won't have any problem with your stereo microphones.
